The Right Gear

Brent and I were able to pick up a couple cycling wind-breakers last week. Riding in a Utah March is now possible. Having the right gear makes a HUGE difference. This last weekend we put in our first 14 + mile ride of the season, and it felt great! My fingers and toes were pretty numb by the end, but other than that it wasn’t too bad.

We rode along the foothills, through downtown, and over to the Gateway Outdoor Mall. Most of the way out was flat our downhill, making the ride home a nice uphill workout. (Keeping up with Brent is a workout in itself! But he’s nice enough to slow down a bit for me when the roads get steep.) As we turned up our street at the end of the ride it started to rain. I can’t wait for consecutive sunny weekends. Spring, where are you?!
