One of our favorite places in downtown is Lamb’s Grill, Utah’s longest consecutively running restaurant. They have a great history, wonderful food, and a unique atmosphere. If you lift up the table cloths you can see aged and preserved tables underneath that look 40 or 50 years old. A live piano player fills the restaurant with music, and iconic shots of the Salt Lake area adorn the walls. A collection of sheep decorations and knick-knacks line the shelf behind the bar.
The other night we popped in a half hour before they closed and enjoyed a piece of cheesecake and a cup of tea at the bar. We chatted with the manager, drank our tea, and then headed out with the last of the evening’s guests. It was a good way to end the day.
