This last weekend we went to Cafe Trio on 9th East and were completely impressed. The restaurant sits on the corner in an unassuming area of town, with an outdoor patio and vines growing up the walls. It’s gorgeous.
Brent ordered the pomodoro with spaghettini, plum tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, and extra virgin olive oil. I ordered a plate of gluten-free pasta with butternut squash sauce, sage, asiago, and seared chicken. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. The sun set over our shoulders while we enjoyed the sound of muted conversations and the smell of good food. I think we have officially found our local Italian place.
