We are only days away from the 10th anniversary of 9-11. I’ve been reading about the special memorial, designed by Michael Arad to commemorate the site. It’s a beautiful idea – twin reflecting pools, each nearly an acre in size featuring the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood, as a reminder of what’s been lost. Names of every life lost are engraved into bronze panels edging the pools. I’d love to be in Manhattan for the opening. What an emotional day that’s going to be.
