Antelope Island

Last week we took my visiting family out to Antelope Island. Brent and I were actually pretty excited because we’ve wanted to make the quick trip for a while now. It’s about 35 minutes up the road, and another 15 minutes out the longest causeway I’ve ever been on.

The island was absolutely beautiful. Just like our visit to the Shorelands Preserve, the weather was cold and windy. A hazy fog settled on the mountain range to the east and prevented us from seeing any of the shore. We could have been in the middle of the ocean, or the edge of Cape Horn. It was a cool sensation. We saw bison, hawks, the bluff on the northern tip of the island, and the 1848 Garr Ranch on the southern end.
