Big Apple : Part Two

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to post the second half of our New York trip. It’s already December, and I’m only now getting around to finishing a post I started in June. The first three days of our excursion were detailed in Big Apple: Part One. This last June we spent a week in the city with my amazing brother. It was Brent’s first time to NYC, and I hadn’t been back in years. It was such an incredible week.

Day IV: Rain, rain, rain. Lunch at a vegetarian place with Christopher in The Village, Wandering around a 4-floor art gallery in Chelsea, Waiting out a torrential downpour in the stairwell, Aperture Foundation – closed, Train uptown to the Guggenheim, Walk in the rain, Guggenheim main hall – closed, Crowded Met full of wet people escaping the weather, Train back to Brooklyn, AMAZING dinner at Dino.

Day V: Farmer’s Market with Christopher and Julia, Brooklyn Flea Market, Stop in at Dino to see Julia at work, Crazy train mob in Bedford station, Lunch at Tu-Lu’s Gluten Free Bakery, Walk through the East Village, Stroll through Rockefeller Center, MoMA, Back out to BK, Dinner in the backyard patio of Kif, Farewell party with dessert on the roof in Brooklyn.

Day VI: Breakfast in the apartment, Prospect Park, Food truck rally, Market Street Fair in Park Slope, Bark hot dog joint for lunch, Airport.

Until next time, New York.
