Ray Bradbury died on Tuesday, and the world will miss this extremely talented writer. His contributions to literature are profound. He taught people to think about the world differently and often referred to himself as an ‘idea writer.’ I was moved by his novel, Fahrenheit 451, when I read it for the first time a couple years ago. (I know, I somehow made it through my pre-college education without covering this in class. Doesn’t every kid read this in junior high at some point?!) I think I’ll pick it up again this summer and give it a quick perusing. Read more about Ray’s life and work in this NY Times article.
