I’ve always loved Mark Rothko and Joseph Albers for their creative use of color blocking. Malissa Ryder has her own modern take on the style. I love her collection of water color paintings. I feel like when I see the individual strokes of the paint brush I catch a glimpse of the artist’s process in making the piece. I think these paintings are simple and lovely.
